Skincare Hacks You’ll Need to Survive Summer Season
You can always expect that your face can be oily and you can always count on pimple breakouts during summer. It can really be hard to deal with it especially if you don’t know what to do. Good thing, there are some easy fixes for your skin care issues. Read on and learn how to fix those troubled spots!

Switch to Gel Cleanser
♥ We may become sweaty during the summer season and you may find your face overly oily. That said, cleansing should be the first step in your skincare routine. During summer, use a gel cleanser instead of your usual foamy face wash.
Switch to Water-based Moisturizer
♥ You should not skip your moisturizer especially when the heat and humidity of the weather start to ramp up. Switch to water-based moisturizer for the meantime (during summer season) and pick the ones that contain hyaluronic acid and aloe vera water. These two ingredients will help provide long-lasting hydration.
Protect Your Skin from the Sun
♥ Daily use of sunscreen is very important. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher before going out. Limit your time in the sun especially its peak hour, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m and reapply sunscreen every 4 hours or immediately after swimming. The use of protective clothing, wide-brimmed hat, and UV protecting glasses are also recommended.
Avoid Hot Shower
♥ It is a great feeling when you step into the shower after spending the rest of your day out in the sun, but remember to cool down the temperature of your bath water. Instead of taking a hot bath, turn down the heat and shower in a lukewarm or cool water because hot water can strip the skin’s natural oil leaving the skin dull and dry.
♥♥ Easy Hacks! ♥♥
Refresh Your Skin Anytime, Anywhere
♥ If you’re always on the go, try keeping a spritz bottle of facial mist on hand to help refresh your skin anytime, anywhere.
♥ Do warm compresses after you pop a pimple by soaking a tea bag in the hot water and gently press the tea bag on the area as long as you can.
♥ Rub a plain yogurt on your skin for 10 minutes. It will help restore the skin’s natural barrier. Aloe vera also works to soothe sunburned skin because of its natural cooling properties. You can also use a frozen aloe vera gel for extra cooling effect.
Get Rid of Oily Skin
♥ Hot weather makes the skin extra oily and blotting sheets can be really useful to help absorb excess grease whenever needed, but if you find yourself without a blotting sheet simply use a disposable toilet seat cover (new ones, I repeat, new ones! Haha!). If it makes you wince, just rub an ice all over your face to reduce oil.
Get Rid of Blackheads
♥ Refresh your face and remove blackheads by cutting the lemon in half and sprinkling the insides with sugar before applying to your face each night.
Get Rid of Whiteheads
♥ Rub a tomato pulp over the area where you spot whiteheads and leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing off. It also gives your skin a fresh feeling plus it is great for dull skin.
Reduce Facial Redness
♥ Naturally reduce the redness of your face with salt. Simply mix 1 cup of warm water and ¼ teaspoon of salt and dab over the red spot using cotton balls.
Rehydrate Your Face
♥ Cool off the summer heat by refreshing and rehydrating your skin by rubbing a watermelon rind all over your face. This is a quick and easy way to refresh plus it is great for your skin and immunity.
Put Your Skincare Product in the Fridge
♥ This is only to provide extra cooling effect during hot weather. You can stash your eye cream and face mask in the fridge to provide a cool treat for your skin whenever you use it.
