There’s no definite time when’ll your breakouts appear – your acne problem may have started in your teenage years when age hormones are at its highest peak or your later years because breakouts don’t only happen to teenagers.

♥ The rule of the thumb is: always pick a cleanser specifically formulated for your skin type. If you’re prone to breakouts, choose a cleanser that is formulated for acne-prone skin. Most of these products are widely available and can be bought over the counter. Products made specifically for acne-prone skin often contains salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, the two powerful ingredients that help clear acne sores.
♥ Always remember to clean your face gently. This includes using a gentle facial cleanser; it can be great if you can find an all-natural and organic product that suits your skin. Avoid using harsh cleansers because it can strip skin of its protective barrier and natural moisture, leaving your skin dry and vulnerable to bacteria. Soap is not recommended, it has a higher pH than your skin which can over dry the skin resulting in excessive oil production.  Instead, find a balancing face wash, it will gently re-balance oiliness while smoothing and soothing skin.
♥ For most acne prone skin, exfoliation is not a good way to cleanse and purify the skin. The best way you can do is to use your fingertips to gently massage your skin. Avoid abrasive ingredients like beads and never rub your face with a washcloth.
♥ Treating acne is not an easy task; especially if most of the products in the market that aims to combat acne can dry out the skin. The best thing you can do is to avoid alcohol-based astringents and moisturize immediately after washing.
♥ Salicylic acid is the best ingredients to treat your acne prone skin. There are many products that contain salicylic acid, choose that. It won’t dry your skin; it won’t peel, and won’t cause redness.
♥ If you really love makeup that much, make sure that the brushes you use on your facial skin are clean. Your makeup brushes and puffs should be washed every two weeks and your sponges every weak to avoid bacteria build up.
♥ If you constantly breaking out on your neck and forehead, you might want to check your shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo and conditioner ingredients like fragrances and preservatives can cause the breakouts, change your hair care routine and pick a fragrance-free product.
♥ Added dirt and bacteria is the last thing you’ll need. Avoid touching your face with your unwashed hands! You also need to stop popping your pimples. Squeezing your kin will not do you good, it will only cause irritation, breakouts, and scars and pimple marks.
